French Open

May 29th
What a doubles match. That was a very exciting and entertaining 3rd round in doubles. Unfortunately Jule and Karo couldn’t win it at the end and lost to Makarova/ Vesnina 1:6,6:4,3:6 after 2 hours.

The French Open are over for Team Jule and they are heading back home to prepare for Grass court in the next weeks.
The next WTA event for Jule will be the Mallorca Open.

May 27th-Doubles
Jule and Karo could win their second round match against Coco Vandeweghe and Christina McHale (both USA) 3:6,6:3,7:6(5) after being down 2:5 in the third set.
For a spot in the quarterfinal the girls will face 7th seed Ekaterina Makarova and Elena Vesnina of Russia.

May 26th- Singles
What a great battle and entertaining match for the spectators in Roland Garros on Court 6. Unfortunately not with the win for Jule as she lost to Monica Puig 5:7,7:6(4),5:7 after 3 hours. She could save 6 matchpoints, but Monica converted her 7th and won the match.

25th of May
Jule and Karo had a good start into the French Open in doubles. They beat Groenefeld/Peschke 6:4,6:1 and are through to the second round in Paris.

2nd round singles
The second round match between Jule and Monica Puig (PUR) is scheduled on court 6 fourth after 11am tomorrow.

24th of May

Perfect start for Jule
Jule played a very good and solid match against 20th seed Johanna Konta (GBR). She dominated the match with aggressive and solid play from the baseline, but also used her skills at the net. After an hour Jule used her first matchpoint to seal the victory over the Brit 6:2,6:3.
In the next round Jule faces Monica Puig of Puerto Rico.

Doubles tomorrow
Jule and Karo are seeded 10th in Roland Garros and face fellow German Anna-Lena Groenefeld and Kveta Peschke (CZE) in the first round. This match is scheduled on court 5 third match after 11am tomorrow.

23rd of May
French Open- 1st round
Jule will face 20th seed Johanna Konta (GBR) tomorrow. The match is scheduled on court 14 fourth match after 11am.

21st of May

Jule and her team are already on their way to Paris where the second Grand Slam of the year, the French Open are about to start.
The first round opponent of Jule is Johanna Konta (GBR).
